WATKINSVILLE, Ga. - The Mount Vernon Varsity Girls Tennis team is headed to the Elite 8 for a fourth consecutive season.
The Mustangs accomplished that feat with a 3-0 victory over the no. 2 seeded Prince Avenue Christian School Wolverines on Tuesday afternoon, April 29 at Oconee Veterans Park.
Daniela O'Leary continued her stellar play in 2025 by defeating her opponent 2-0 (6-2/6-0).
MV's no. 1 doubles duo of Hunter Reese Giardino and Brook Nazarian took down their competition 2-0 (6-4/6-1).
The Mustangs also secured a victory at no. 2 doubles with Mary Laborde and Caroline Wright winning 2-0 (6-2/6-2).
Mount Vernon (10-5) advances to face Atlanta International School (AIS) in the Elite 8.
