ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Varsity Volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win over Mundy's Mill High School on Tuesday night, Sept. 30 at the Upper Campus Gymnasium.
MV dominated all three sets, taking the first 25-12 followed by 25-8 and 25-5 wins in the following games.
The Mustangs racked up 45 kills in the match with Hannah Douglas and Ellie Wood posting 10 each.
Mount Vernon finished with 12 aces with Douglas and Madelyn Bargar totalling three apiece.
MV controlled the tempo throughout the entire match, recording 33 digs.
Brooke Nazarian led the team with nine digs.
Mount Vernon (21-18) returns to action on Wednesday night, Oct. 1, traveling to Fellowship Christian for a match against the Paladins.
First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Paladin Gym in Roswell, Ga.
