ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Varsity Boys Lacrosse team remained unbeaten on the 2026 campaign on Monday, March 10, defeating the Dunwoody High School Wildcats 14-13 in overtime at Ron Hill Field.

Even at 13-13 in overtime, Porter Ahrenkiel scored the game-winning goal to send the Mustangs to victory.

Both teams were tied 2-2 at the end of the first period and MV outscored Dunwoody 3-2 in the second quarter to lead 5-4 at halftime.

The Wildcats won the third frame 6-5 as the match was tied 10-10 going into the fourth.

Both teams would post three goals in the final 12 minutes, forcing the game to overtime.

MV outshot Dunwoody 33-27 in the match, including 19-18 on goal.

The Mustang defense forced the Wildcats into 31 turnovers throughout the match as well.

Dalton Siggers led the Mustangs in scoring with six goals.

Other scorers for MV included: Jackson Scotchie (4), Carr Easterlin (2), Patrick Still (1) and Ahrenkiel (1, GW).

Mount Vernon (4-0) returns to action on Wednesday, March 11, traveling to Decatur High School.

Face-off against the Bulldogs is slated for 6:30 p.m.
