NORCROSS, Ga. - The Mount Vernon Varsity Girls and Boys Track & Field teams were in action over the weekend, competing at the GAC Meet at Greater Atlanta Christian.
Several Mustangs had memorable days.
Below are the highlights from the meet:
• Haris Flynn – 1st Place, Boys 800m (1:53.98)
• Kadin Tomlinson – 1st Place, Boys Long Jump (20'11")
• Girls 4x800 Relay – 2nd Place (10:12.01)
• Morgan Huggins – 2nd Place, Girls 1600m (5:22.66)
• Morgan Huggins – 3rd Place, Girls 3200m (11:56.60)
• Retta Duckett – 5th Place, Girls Discus (85'6")
The Mustangs return to action on Saturday, March 21 at the Metro-Atlanta Track & Field Championships at Pace Academy.
Events are set to begin at 9 a.m. at the Riverview Complex.
