ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Varsity Boys Lacrosse team picked up its fourth consecutive win on Wednesday afternoon, March 25, defeating the Darlington School Tigers 16-9 at Ron Hill Field.
MV got five goals in the first period and added five more in the second.
The Mustangs posted six goals in the second half as well.
Goal scorers for MV were: Dalton Siggers (7), Carr Easterlin (4), Jackson Scotchie (2), Porter Ahrenkiel (1), Car Easterlin (1) and Gunnar Ehrlich (1).
Both teams managed 34 shots throughout the match, with MV winning shots on goal 26-16.
The Mustang defense forced the Tigers in 29 turnovers.
Graham Schwalb earned six saves at keeper for the Mustangs.
Mount Vernon (8-1) returns to play on Thursday, April 2, traveling to Whitefield Academy.
Face-off against the Wolfpack is scheduled for 5 p.m. in Mableton, Ga.
