ATHENS, Ga. - The Mount Vernon Varsity Girls and Boys Track & Field teams had a memorable day at the Area Championships at Athens Academy on Wednesday, April 22.

Both teams posted Top-5 finishes with the Varsity Boys placing third overall and the Varsity Girls coming in fifth place.

The Mustangs return to action on Saturday, May 2, competing in the GHSA Sectionals at Greater Atlanta Christian School.

Events are set to begin at 10 a.m. in Roswell, Ga.
