ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Varsity Softball team picked up its fourth consecutive win on Friday, August 14, defeating the North Atlanta High School Warriors 21-0 in three innings on the road.
Bella Durkee smashed two home runs and drove in eight to lead the Mustang offense.
Mount Vernon led 11-0 after the first inning and added eight more runs in the top of the second for a 19-0 lead.
The Mustangs added two more runs in the top of the third inning as well.
Alex Schiff posted three hits on the day, including two doubles.
Caroline Birdsey had a triple for MV as well.
Hollyn Clockadale had two RBI's while Kennedy Darweesh, Dillan Pajot, Schiff and Annabelle Thompson each had one RBI.
Durkee picked up the win the circle, throwing two innings with two strikeouts and one walk.
Darweesh tossed one inning and recorded a strikeout.
Mount vernon (4-1) returns to action on Tuesday, August 18, traveling to Social Circle High School.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Social Circle, Ga.
