ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon varsity volleyball team bumped its winning streak to four games on Monday night, defeating the Paideia Pythons 2-0 before taking down the Atlanta International School (AIS) Eagles 2-1 en route to region victories at Holy Innocents.
In the first match against Paideia, the Mustangs took the firs two sets 25-12 and 25-15 to pick up the win.
In the second match of the night, Mount Vernon dropped the first set 24-26 to the Eagles before rallying to win 25-22 and 25-11 to seal the win.

The Mustangs are now 3-1 in Area 1 Private play, good for second place behind Holy Innocents.
Mount Vernon (13-9) returns to action on Thursday, Sept. 20, facing off against John's Creek and Brookwood.
First serve against the Broncos (19-10) is scheduled for 7 p.m. followed by the Gladiators (10-17) at 8 p.m.
Both matches will be played at John's Creek in Suwanee, Ga.
