ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon varsity softball team ended a two-game skid on Tuesday night, battling past the Holy Innocents Golden Bears (13-6, 4-3 Reg. 5-A) en route to an 8-6 Region 5-A road victory.

MC Springer, Carson Watson and Karley Crim each picked up two hits in the victory.

Crim started two rallies for the Mustangs with lead off singles, scoring both times as well.
