SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - The Mount Vernon varsity volleyball team will compete in the AA/A Area-1 Private Volleyball Tournament on Wednesday-Thursday, Oct. 10-11, at Holy Innocents.
The Mustangs are the no. 2 seed in the 2018 tourney after finishing the regular season with a 19-19 overall record and a 6-1 record in region play.
Below is the schedule for Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday, October 10:
All matches are best two-of-three
Court 1 (Main Gym)
5:00 p.m. - AIS (#4) vs. Paideia (#5)
6:00 p.m. - Holy Innocents (#1) vs. Winner from previous match
Court 2 (Aux Gym)
5:00 p.m. - Galloway (#3) vs. Weber (#6)
6:00 p.m. - Mount Vernon (#2) vs. Winner from previous match
Thursday, October 11:
Court 1 (Main Gym)
5:00 p.m. - Winners of the 6:00 p.m. matches from Wednesday will play best three-of-five match.
Resulting in the #1 and #2 out of the region.
Court 2 (Aux Gym)
5:00 p.m. - Losers of the 6:00 p.m. matches from Wednesday will play best two-of-three match.
Resulting in the #3 and #4 out of the region.
