SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - The Mount Vernon varsity volleyball team has qualified for the 2018 Class AA/A Private State Volleyball Tournament and will begin play on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Eagles Landing Christian Academy.
The Mustangs, the no. 2 seed from Area-1, will take on the First Presbyterian Day School Lady Vikings, the no. 3 seed from Area-4.
The best three-of-five match begins at 11 a.m. at ELCA in McDonough, Ga.

The Mustangs finished the 2018 season as the Area-1 Runner-Up and tallied a 20-20 record that included a 6-2 mark in Area play.
FPD finished the season at 25-5, including a nine-game winning streak to start the 2018 campaign.
