Zoe Stupek and Katie Peddle Named to 2018 All-Area Volleyball Team

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - Senior Zoe Stupek and sophomore Katie Peddle have been named to the 2018 GHSA AA/A Private All-Area 1 Team, announced earlier this week by Head Coach Sharon Burnette.

Stupek, a future Bucknell University Bison, has now finished on the All-Area Team for three consecutive seasons.

She finished first in digs (245), first in digs per set (7.7), second in assists (52) and third in aces (33).

Stupek was also a threat in handling opponents' services, pacing the team with 309 receiving serves.

Peddle had a breakout year for the Mustangs, finishing with a team-best 285 kills.

She led the team in kills per set (8.9), aces (39), and ace percentage (20.4). Peddle also was second in total digs (205) and digs per set (6.4).

Mount Vernon defeated First Presbyterian Day 3-0 in the first round of the GHSA AA/A Private State Tournament before falling to ELCA 3-1 in the Sweet 16.
