Four Mustangs to Sign National Letters of Intent on Thursday, Dec. 20

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - The Mount Vernon Athletic Department is pleased to announce that four student-athletes will sign National Letters of Intent to play at the collegiate level following their senior campaigns.

Seniors Zoe Stupek, Tres Gonzalez, Austin Douglas and Justin Douglas will all be honored at a special ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 20 inside the Glenn Campus Gymnasium at 9:40 a.m.

Stupek will sign to play volleyball at Bucknell, Gonzalez with Georgia Tech for baseball, Austin Douglas with James Madison University for football and Justin Douglas with Southeastern Louisiana University for football.

Guest speakers will provide insight into each athlete before they all take turns signing.

Coordinator of the signing day ceremony Wayne Dabbs looks forward to the special day for Mount Vernon athletics.

"Our community is excited for these student athletes and their families and honored that these student athletes represent Mount Vernon," Dabbs said.

Following the signing ceremony, family and friends of each athlete will be invited for refreshments outside the gymnasium.
