THOMASTON, Ga. - The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the third edition of the Class-A Private Baseball Power Ratings on Monday morning, March 25, with the Mustangs (13-0, 5-0 Reg. 5-1A) coming in at no. 2 overall in the polls for a third consecutive week.
The ratings are used to determine the Top-24 teams from Class-A Public and Private. At season’s end, those teams advance to the GHSA State Playoffs.
Mount Vernon ranks second to Tattnall Square Academy (14.25) with an overall rating of 12.15

The Mustangs picked up two wins over the weekend, sweeping the Lakeview Academy Lions in a home doubleheader 10-0 and 5-3.
The Mustangs return to the diamond on Monday, March 25, hosting the 2A Westlake Lions.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Glenn Campus Baseball Field.
