THOMASTON, Ga. - The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the fifth edition of the Class-A Private Baseball Power Ratings on Monday morning, April 8, with the Mustangs (16-2, 7-1 Reg. 5-1A) coming in at no. 5 overall in the poll.
The ratings are used to determine the Top-24 teams from Class-A Public and Private. At season’s end, those teams advance to the GHSA State Playoffs.

Mount Vernon takes the field twice this week against region opponents to close out the regular season.
The Mustangs are home on Tuesday, April 9 vs. Wesleyan at 5 p.m. followed by a trip to Sharpsburg, Ga. on Thursday, April 11 for a match up against Trinity Christian at 5 p.m.
