EMERSON, Ga. - The Mount Vernon varsity baseball team battled back from a three-run deficit to overtake the Wesleyan Wolves 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon, April 10, at the Lakepoint Turf Fields Complex.

Tied at 3-3 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and Tres Gonzalez on second after a double, Nate Anderson reached on an infield single.

Wesleyan threw the ball to third in an attempt to get Gonzalez, but the throw got away allowing Gonzalez to score for the walk-off win.

An infield error allowed Jamie LaFramboise to score to put Wesleyan up 1-0.

The Wolves made it a 3-0 contest in the top of the sixth inning when James McCoy reached on a bunt single to plate Charlie Taylor.
