ATLANTA - For the first time in program history, the Mount Vernon varsity baseball team will host the second round of the GHSA Class-A Private Baseball State Tournament, set for Thursday and Friday, May 2-3.
Mount Vernon will play Fellowship Christian in a best-of-three game series at the Glenn Campus Baseball Field. Fellowship swept St. Anne Pacelli in the first round to advance to the Sweet-16.
Games 1 and 2 will be played on Thursday, May 2 at 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, will be played on Friday, May 3 at 3:15 p.m.
Per GHSA rules, admission is $10 for the doubleheader for students, parents, fans and Booster Club members. Admission for Game 3 will be $7.
