FAIRBURN, Ga. - The Mount Vernon varsity girls and boys track and field teams competed in the Class-A Area-3 Meet on Tuesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 2 at Landmark Christian School.
The Mustangs had several competitors qualify for the Class-A Private Track and Field Championships, scheduled for May 9-11 at Valhalla Stadium in Rome, Ga.
The following Mustangs will compete at state after top finishes at Area:
-Boys Discus - Jonathan Hammond - 134.5'
-Boys Shot Put - Jonathan Hammond - 42'
-Boys 4x100 Meter Relay: Andrew Douglas, Justin Douglas, John Watson and Hayden Moore
-Boys 800 Meter Run: Robert Blumencranz
-Girls 4x100 Meter Relay: Jessicka Woods, Emily Raeside, Lily Durlacher, Ella Dawson, Karley Crim.
-Girls 400 Meter Run: Jessicka Woods
-Girls 300 Meter Hurdles: Jessicka Woods
