Volleyball Picks Up Wins Over North Atlanta, Westlake

ATLANTA - After a tough loss to Greater Atlanta Christian on Wednesday night, the Mount Vernon varsity volleyball team rallied together to take down the North Atlanta Warriors 2-0 (25-17/25-7) and the Westlake Lions 2-0 (25-11/25-18) on Thursday night, Sept. 5, at the Upper Campus Gymnasium.

Katie Peddle led the charge for the Mustangs, totaling 14 kills and six aces in both matches combined.

Lauren Roush picked up eight kills in the victory over North Atlanta while Lauren Bell had five kills and three aces in the triumph over Westlake.

The Mustangs (12-7) return to the court on Tuesday, Sept. 10, traveling to the Galloway School for a tri-match.

First serve against Galloway is set for 5 p.m. followed by Holy Innocents at 6 p.m.
