The ranking is two spots lower that Week One, which had the Mustangs at eight overall.
The ratings are used to determine the Top-24 teams from Class-A Public and Private. At season’s end, those teams advance to the GHSA State Playoffs.

The Mustangs return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 17, hosting the 6A Centennial High School Knights (7-10).
First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon's Upper Campus Softball Field.
