Mustangs Pick Up Four Wins at  Wesleyan Varsity Playdate

PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga. - The Mount Vernon varsity volleyball team came away with a successful weekend of play, taking down the entire competition face on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Wesleyan Varsity Playdate hosted by the Wesleyan School.

Mount Vernon picked up wins over St. Francis (2-1), Mt. Bethel (2-0), Mt. Pisgah (2-0) and Landmark (2-1).

"We played really good team volleyball," Head Coach Sharon Burnette said. "We had to shuffle some things around but once we got the hang of it we were okay."

Added Burnette: "We are always striving to not only get better but be a great competitor."

The Mustangs (20-10) have now won five straight and return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 24, traveling to the Paideia School.

First serve against Atlanta International is scheduled for 5 p.m. followed by Galloway at 6 p.m.
