ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Middle School White volleyball team came away with the top prize on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 10.

The Mustangs completed an undefeated 15-0 season, knocking off the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles 2-0 [25-15/25-10] to take home the Metro-10 B Volleyball Championship at the Upper Campus Gymnasium.

"The girls improved so much throughout the season and work together as a unit," Head Coach Julie Crawford said. "They are supportive and encourage one another on the court."

The Mustangs went 8-0 at home and 7-0 on the road in 2019.

Of the 15 total matches played, the Mustangs recorded a whopping 12 shutouts.

Mount Vernon closed out the season with four consecutive shutouts as well.

"They play their best matches when they are having fun," Crawford said. "I'm happy they were able to come out on top."
