ATLANTA – The Mount Vernon middle school football teams are postseason bound!
The 7/8 and 5/6 middle school football teams will play in the Metro-10 Semifinals this week with a chance to advance to the Championship next week.
The 7/8 Mustangs (5-2) will play at Mt. Pisgah on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 4:30 p.m. in Johns Creek, Ga.
The 7/8 Mustangs defeated the Patriots 34-22 on the road back on Sept. 14.
The 5/6 Mustangs (2-4) will play at King’s Ridge on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. in Alpharetta, Ga.
The 5/6 Mustangs dropped both meetings to the Tigers in 2019, the first a 36-0 loss on Sept. 18 on the road followed by an 8-6 loss on Oct. 5.
