Mustangs Set for First Round of A/AA Private Volleyball State Tournament

ATLANTA – After placing second in the Area-1 Private Tournament last week, the Mount Vernon varsity volleyball team is ready to take the next step: competing in the GHSA A/AA Private State Tournament.

The Mustangs will face Calvary Day School, the no. 3 seed from Area-3, on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Hebron Christian Academy in the first round of the state tournament.

First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday morning in a best three-of-five series.

If the Mustangs win, they will face the winner of no. 1 Hebron (Area-7) vs. no. 4 Pinecrest (Area-5) on Oct. 22 at a time to be determined.
