THOMASTON, Ga. - The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the seventh edition of the Class-A Private Football Power Ratings on Monday, Oct. 28, with the Mustangs (4-4, 2-3 Reg. 5-1A) coming in at no. 22 in the polls.
The ratings are used to determine the Top-24 teams from Class-A Public and Private. At season’s end, those teams advance to the GHSA State Playoffs.

The Mustangs return to action on Friday, Nov. 1, hosting Region 5-1A opponent Eagles Landing Christian Academy.
Kickoff against the no. 2 ranked Chargers (7-1, 4-1 Reg. 5-1A) is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon's Upper Campus Football Field.
Mount Vernon most recently defeated Our Lady of Mercy on the road 41-0 on Oct. 25 to get back to .500 overall.
The game will also be Senior Night for all fall athletics at Mount Vernon.
