ATLANTA - The GHSA released the bracket for the 2019 Class-A Private Football State Tournament with the Mustangs earning the no. 21 seed overall.
Mount Vernon (5-5) will travel to no. 12 seeded Hebron Christian (6-4) for a first round match up on Friday, Nov. 15.
Kickoff against the Lions is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Hebron's Burlingame Stadium at Lions Field.
According to MaxPreps, the Mustangs are 0-2 against the Lions in program history.
Mount Vernon dropped a 49-14 decision in 2014 and fell 42-28 in 2015.
Friday's meeting will be the first time both squads will meet in postseason play.
