ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Athletic Department is pleased to announce that signing day will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 5 inside the school's Upper Campus Gymnasium.
Eight athletes will sign National Letters of Intent to play at the collegiate level.
The ceremony will take place at 11:10 a.m. and will last just over half an hour.
"Our 2020 class carries on the tradition of Mount Vernon student-athletes continuing their athletic careers at colleges and universities across the country," Athletic Director Brad Dehem said. "Their dedication and hard work to being incredible athletes and great teammates has put them in this position, and we are so thankful and proud of these Mustangs!"
Listed below are the athletes that are signing, the school in which they will attend and the sport that will be played.
Nate Anderson - University of New Orleans - Baseball
Jackson Denney - Washington and Jefferson - Baseball
Jonathan Hammond - Davidson - Football
Jacob Kephart - Georgia State - Golf
Ben Koch - Augusta University - Baseball
Jack Palmer - Vassar College - Lacrosse
Alex Thomas - Tufts University - Baseball
Alex VanLandingham - New York University - Baseball
The signings for the Class of 2020 marks the second most in Mount Vernon history. The Class of 2018 had nine total signees.
