Lacrosse Picks Up 17-5 Road Victory Over Whitefield

MABLETON, Ga. - The Mount Vernon varsity lacrosse team picked up its first win of the 2020 season on Thursday night, Feb. 20, defeating the Whitefield Wolfpack 17-5 on the road at Wolfpack Stadium.

Will Palmer and Cole Allison led the way in scoring for the Mustangs, each scoring four goals.

Kolby Rothbard, James Crandall and Erik Dodder also got in on the scoring action, posting two goal each.

Will Palmer played the second half in goal and picked up seven saves en route to the victory.

Jack Palmer totaled a team-high seven ground balls as well.

The Mustangs are back in action on Friday, Feb. 21, traveling to Fellowship Christian.

Face-off is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. in Roswell, Ga.
