Mount Vernon 15th in GADA Regions Bank Director's Cup Standings

ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that the school has cracked the Top-20 on the Georgia Athletic Director's Association (GADA) "Battle for the Regions Bank Director's Cup" rankings.

Mount Vernon is 15th overall with a current rank of sixth for boys sports and 20th in girls sports out of 47 schools. Altogether, Mount Vernon has 256 points.

The purpose of the Regions Bank Directors Cup is to recognize those athletic departments in all GHSA classifications who have excelled and shown superior performance.

"We are proud of all of our teams and their finishes so far this past fall and winter," Athletic Director Brad Dehem said. "We look forward to a strong finish this spring as well."

The Mustangs will battle for positioning in the standings this spring with baseball, girls and boys golf, boys lacrosse, girls and boys soccer, girls and boys tennis and girls and boys track and field to be played.
