ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon varsity volleyball team had a strong showing at the A/AA Playdate on Saturday, August 14, hosted by Holy Innocents.
The Mustangs finished 3-1 on the day.
Mount Vernon's wins included: St. Vincent's 2-0 (25-20, 25-20), Savannah Country Day 2-0 (25-22, 25-18) and Calvary Day School 2-0 (25-12, 25-21).
Mount Vernon's lone loss came against Trinity in three sets, falling 1-2 (25-22, 14-25, 6-15).
The Mustangs (5-1) return to the court on Tuesday, August 17, traveling to Blessed Trinity for a tri-match.
Mount Vernon takes on Blessed Trinity at 5 p.m. followed by North Gwinnett High School at 6 p.m. in Roswell, Ga.
