ATLANTA - After a 27-10 regular season campaign, the Mount Vernon varsity volleyball team has been awarded with three players making the All-Region 5-1A squad.
Sophia Van Name, Ella Dawson and Olivia Ramsey all received All-Region honors for their stellar play in the 2021 season.
Van Name finished the year with 90 kills to lead the Mustangs.
Dawson totaled 535 assists and 50 aces while Olivia Ramsey notched 590 digs and 65 aces.
"We are extremely proud of all of our young ladies and especially Sophia, Ella and Olivia," Head Coach Sharon Burnette said. "They helped lead us to a great season and are great role models on and off the court for our program."
Added Burnette: "All of our ladies had a great regular season and we are excited with the direction our program is taking."
