The victory puts Mount Vernon in the GHSA Class-A Private Sweet-16 for the second consecutive season.
"I couldn't be more proud of the girls," Head Coach Sheldon Staples said. "The wins were decisive, and the losses were hard-fought and very close. As a coach, I can't ask for anything better than that. (I'm) so happy they earned a trip to the Sweet 16 for the second season in a row!"
