Both squads have qualified for postseason play in GHSA Class-A DI.
The Varsity Softball team captured its first sole region title last week while the Varsity Volleyball team finished in the top four in region to earn a postseason spot.

VARSITY SOFTBALL
The GHSA Class-A Region 6 DI Champions will host a Super Regional beginning Tuesday, Oct. 18 and finishing out Wednesday, Oct. 19 at Mustang Park.
If the Mustangs win the Super Regional, they will advance to the Elite 8 in Columbus, Ga. for a second consecutive season.
Tuesday's schedule is as follows:
10 a.m. - Rabun County v. Dade County
12 p.m. - Mount Vernon vs. Jasper County
2 p.m. - Loser of Game 1 v. Loser of Game 2
4 p.m. - Winner Game 1 v. Winner Game 2

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL
The Mustangs finished fourth at the Region Tournament last week, good for a postseason bid after missing the State Tournament a year ago.
Mount Vernon, the no. 4 seed from Region 6, will travel to Oglethorpe County, the no. 1 seed from Region 5, for a best-of-five match at 6 p.m. in Lexington, Ga.
