ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Athletic Department, in partnership with Mixlr, is pleased to reveal the launch of the all new Mustang Sports Network, announced Monday, Oct. 24.
The network will allow students, faculty and staff, parents and the entire Mount Vernon community to tune in to select varsity athletic contests throughout every academic year moving forward.
"We are excited to release this platform where our entire community can listen to games and cheer on our Mustang teams," Sports Information Director Chandler Lee said. "This will help us grow the positive experience of athletics at our school as well as give our student-athletes a platform in which to be recognized on a regular basis."
The network is available on Mixlr, a premier online audio streaming platform.

Once visiting the website, search for "Mount Vernon Athletics" in the search bar on the homepage at the upper right corner.
Once on the Mount Vernon Athletics Mixlr homepage, simply click on the game to listen live to all of the Mustang athletic action.
Fans can also download the Mixlr mobile app for iOS and Android on their respective smart phone devices to listen on the go.
Fans do not have to have an account to listen to broadcasts on Mixlr, but the host site does recommend signing up for free to enjoy all of the platform's features.
Lee will handle the play-by-play duties on all broadcasts with various members stepping in for color commentary and analysis.
"We hope as many of our fans can tune in to listen to these games and cheer on our outstanding student-athletes and coaches," Lee added.

The first broadcasts will take place this week as the Mount Vernon Varsity Softball team embarks on Columbus, Ga. and the GHSA Class-A DI Elite 8.
The Mustangs take on the Bleckley County Royals on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Field 2 at the South Commons Softball Complex.
First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. with the pregame show beginning at 12:50 p.m. on the Mustang Sports Network.
