MARIETTA, Ga. - The Mount Vernon Varsity Swim & Dive team was in action over the weekend, competing in a Region Meet at the Mountain View on Saturday, Nov. 5.
The Varsity Girls placed first overall while the Varsity Boys took home third.
Combined, the Mustangs finished second overall and the Girls 200 Medley Relay team of Hunter Reese Giardino, Laney Whiting, Mary Fuentes and Sydney Morton qualified for state with a time of 2:06.53 in their first meet of the season.

The Mustang divers are back in the water on on Saturday, Nov. 12 at Marist at 10 a.m. while the swimmers return to action on Nov. 15 at Greater Atlanta Christian.
