ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Varsity E-Sports Team (Down A Mustangs) dominated play on Wednesday afternoon, April 12, shutting out Putnam County High School 2-0 to advance to the GHSA 1A-4A Sweet 16.
Mount Vernon will turn its attention to the no. 1 seeded Cornaria Crushers from Tattnall County High School on Friday, April 14.
"It has been such a joy spending the afternoons gaming with everyone and I appreciate the sportsmanship and camaraderie they have all cultivated," Head Coach Aaron Hawkins said.
