The win vaults the Mustangs into the GHSA Class-A DI Final 4 for the first time in program history.
Mount Vernon struck for their first goal with 28:14 to play in the first half on a Taylor Keller score from Karoline Lundstrom to go ahead 1-0.
Less than three minutes later, Keller struck again on an Eden Wassersug assist for a 2-0 lead.
Mount Vernon made it 3-0 on a Wassersug goal off an Ella Parker corner kick.
At the 20:32 mark of the first half, the Mustangs struck once more to go ahead 4-0 on a Ruby Turner header from a Lilla Adams corner kick.
The Tigers pushed across their only goal of the match at 14:48 in the first period.
Mount Vernon followed with three more goals to close out the first half from Keller, Turner and Lundstrom to lead 7-1.
In the second half, the Mustangs closed the match on a 4-0 run to bring the mercy rule into effect.
Goals were scored by Wassersug (2), Keller and Lundstrom.
Altogether, Keller finished with four goals, Wassersug totaled three, while Lundstrom and Turner each had two.
Mount Vernon (13-2) will travel to Commerce High School for the GHSA Class-A DI Final 4 on Thursday, April 27 at a time to be determined.
