TALLULAH FALLS, Ga. - The Mount Vernon Varsity Girls Tennis team is headed back to the Elite 8 for a third consecutive season.
The Mustangs secured their spot in the next round with a 3-2 road victory over Tallulah Falls on Monday afternoon, April 22.
Daniela O'Leary won 6-1, 6-1 at no. 1 singles.
Kate Duncan and Sofia Tur won 6-2, 6-2 at no. 2 doubles.
Hunter Reese Giardino and Brooke Nazarian were on court the longest and brought home the team win with their 6-4, 6-3 triumph at no. 1 doubles.
Mount Vernon (14-8) returns to action in the Elite 8 next week, facing off against either Lamar County or Screven County.
