ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Varsity Boys and Girls Tennis squads punched their ticket to the Final Four with road playoff victories on Monday, April 29.
The Varsity Boys knocked off Bleckley County 3-1 and the Varsity Girls bested Screven County 3-0 to advance to the Final Four for a second consecutive season.
In the boys match, Liam O'Leary won at no. 1 singles 6-2, 6-1 and Nico Tur picked up a 6-3, 6-3 triumph at no. 3 singles.
Matthew Zeldin and Hugh Carter clinched the Mustang victory at no.2 doubles winning 6-2, 7-5.
In the Varsity Girls match, Daniela O'Leary had no problem with her opponent at no. 1 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0.
MV secured the match victory with both doubles teams.
Hunter Reese Giardino and Brooke Nazarian were dominant at no. 1 doubles, claiming a 6-0, 6-1 win
Kate Duncan and Taylor Gravely followed with a win at no. 2 double 6-2, 6-3.
The Varsity Boys (16-7) and Varsity Girls (15-8) will play in the Final Four against Galloway.
