DUNWOODY, Ga. - The Mount Vernon Varsity Wrestling team opened the 2024-25 season on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Dunwoody Wildcat Open.
Several Mustangs posted top finishes with six out of seven wrestlers earning placements.
"There's always room for improvement, but the team fought hard and didn't quit," Head Coach Derrick Washington said.

Chip Fahlbusch - 4th (150)
Lukas Woolverton - 5th (165)
Matthew Falcone - 6th (150)
Nico Oldland - 6th (144)
Mount Vernon is back on the mat on Friday, Nov. 15 at the Walnut Grove Scramble.
Events are set to begin at 5 p.m. at Walnut Grove High School in Loganville, Ga.
