Varsity Swim Closes Out 2024-25 Season with Impressive Finishes at GHSA State Meet

ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Varsity Swim team closed out the 2024-25 season in a major way on Thursday, Feb. 6 at the GHSA State Meet hosted by Georgia Tech.

The Varsity Girls placed fourth overall in 1A-3A with several Mustangs garnering top finishes in various events.

Highlights of the meet include:










-Chloe Cappola - 1st - 100 Fly

-Chloe Cappola - 1st - 100 Back'

-200 Medley Relay (Chloe Cappola, Sasha Mahl, Sydney Morton, Jocelyn Towns) - 3rd

-200 Free Relay (Cappola, Mahl, Morton, Towns) - 3rd

-Jocelyn Towns - 4th - 100 Back

-Jocelyn Towns - 6th - 100 Fly

-Sasha Mahl - 10th - 200 Individual Medley

-Sasha Mahl - 10th - 100 Breaststroke

-Grant Sober - 5th - 100 Breaststroke

-Grant Sober - 17th - 50 Free
