Varsity Wrestling Sends Six to GHSA State Competition After Sectional Round

HAZELHURST, Ga. - The Mount Vernon Varsity Wrestling team had a historic day on Saturday, Feb. 8 at GHSA Sectionals at Jeff Davis High School.

MV had six wrestlers advance to the GHSA Traditional State Championships, besting the previous record of five set back in 2015.









The wrestlers that advanced and their placements are:

132 - Pace Lilenfeld - Champion
120 - JC Moeser - 3rd
138 - Chip Fahlbusch - 3rd
157 - Keon Clealand - 4th
HWT - Ryley Fuller - 4th
113 - Benjamin Easterlin - 6th

GHSA State Competition is scheduled for Feb. 13-15 at the Macon Centreplex.
