ATLANTA - The Mount Vernon Varsity Boys Soccer team picked up a 5-2 Senior Night victory over the Walker School Wolverines on Wednesday, March 26.
The Mustangs scored two goals in the first half of action.
Eyob Anteneh scored the first Mustang goal followed by teammate Max Newton.
After allowing a goal to the Wolverines, both squads would battle to halftime with the Mustangs leading 2-1 at intermission.
In the second half, MV got three goals throughout the duration of regulation to put the match away for good.
Jake Sedgley scored twice and Landron Hoyal struck for a goal as well in the final 40 minutes.
Hoyal also totaled three assists in the Mustang win.
Holt Dimmock picked up four saves in goal as well.
Mount Vernon (7-2) returns to action on Tuesday, April 1, hosting Wesleyan in a key region contest.
Kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Ron Hill Field.
