CARROLLTON, Ga. - The Mount Vernon Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country teams closed out the 2024 season on Friday, Nov. 8 at the GHSA Private State Meet at Carrollton High School.
Haris Flynn won the 1A-3A Private State Championship, clocking in at 16:33.
Overall the Varsity Boys finished seventh out of 24 schools.
Collin Maher placed 39th at 18:31 while teammate Henry Miller was 51st with a time of 18:47.
Will Vansant crossed the finish line in 54th at 18:49 as well.
In the Varsity Girls race, the Mustangs took 9th out of 24 teams.
Morgan Huggins was the top finisher for MV in 19th place with a time of 21:50.
Alexis Kendall secured a spot in the Top-50 at 22:56 (39th).
Lydia Nagy crossed the finish line at 57th (23:52) as well.
